(Rupicapra rupicapra L.)

We hunt Alpine chamois in area of Julian and Kamnik Alps. Hunters in good physical condition hunt by stalking and searching, while hunters in less good physical condition hunt from ambushes placed near crossings and salt licks. In order to successfully realize the hunt, a hunter must plan to spend at least three days hunting. Since Alpine chamois is somewhat smaller than the Balkan chamois, we recommend using higher velocity calibers larger than 6,5 mm, but smaller than 8 mm. Firing is conducted from distances of 150-300 m.
